Everton sign Lucas Neill

Everton football club have signed Luca Neill on a free transfer after he left his former club West Ham due to his former deal expiring.

Personally I think he is a great defender and his experience will help Everton push on for Europe this year after what has been a very slow start for them.

Think he was on massive wages at West Ham. It's looking like Everton have come out well after the whole Lescott saga. they got some decent defenders in now.

I just wonder what wages he is on at Everton.

Anyway it has been a good signing bringing in him and Distan at the back. I thought Everton would be weak at the back with the sale of Lescott.

Lets not forget Johnny Heitinga, I agree they have bought well in defense. They need an experienced forward though who can stay injury free.

Jo is a great striker. Don't think we have seen the best of him yet and with City having so many strikers I don't think they will need him. However I think the people who partner him aren't so good Yakubu is lazy, Saha is injury prone and I don't really rate Fellaini.

Heitinga and Neill will do just fine for Lescott. I mean, in my opinion Lescott is a bit over-rated, and he wasn't worth the money City paid. It's good for Everton thoug, they have some extra cash ;)

Lescott is well overrated, Distin and Neill have been doing at this level for years now.

Everton got a great deal in the end.
